The molecular formula of anhydrous form is Na₂SO₄ with a molecular weight of 142.04, and its corresponding CAS registration number is 7757-82-6. The decahydrate form features a molecular formula of Na₂SO₄·10H₂O, a molecular weight of 322.19, and a CAS registration number of 7727-73-3. All technical parameters comply with industrial and food-grade application standards for commercial procurement and batch production.

Physical & Chemical Properties

Anhydrous sodium sulfate presents as white monoclinic crystal or crystalline powder with no odor and bitter salty taste. It has a relative density of 2.68 and a melting point of 884℃. The product delivers stable solubility performance: fully soluble in water and glycerin, and insoluble in ethanol. Its aqueous solution shows alkaline characteristics. The anhydrous product absorbs ambient moisture under open air conditions and converts to hydrated sodium sulfate. High-purity refined decahydrate sodium sulfate is classified as glauber salt in industrial classification.
