Product Specifications
Chemical Name: Ferric pyrophosphate
Molecular Formula: Fe₄(P₂O₇)₃ · nH₂O
Molecular Weight: 745.22
CAS Number: 10058-44-3
Physical Properties
This product presents as yellow-white to tawny powder with faint iron-specific odour. In terms of solubility, it dissolves in inorganic acid, alkaline solutions and citrate solutions, and remains insoluble in cold water. All physical indicators are stable under standard ambient temperature and pressure conditions, ensuring consistent performance in downstream processing.
Industrial & Food Grade Applications
The product serves as a standard functional additive for the food industry, compatible with multiple mainstream processed food formulations. Applicable food scenarios include flour, biscuits, bread, blended milk powder, rice flour and soybean milk powder. It is also suitable for high-standard food products such as infant formula, health food, instant food and functional fruit juice beverages.
Beyond food additive usage, the material supports multiple industrial manufacturing scenarios. It can be applied as a performance enhancer for industrial materials, a flame retardant for synthetic fiber production, an anti-corrosion pigment raw material and a chemical reaction catalyst for industrial processes.
Packaging Standard
Standard packaging adopts a double-layer structure for product protection and storage stability. The inner layer is a food-grade polyethylene bag, and the outer layer is a durable compound plastic woven bag. The fixed net weight of each finished package is 25kg, meeting international bulk cargo packaging specifications for industrial and food material procurement.
Storage & Transportation Requirements
Warehouse storage requires dry, ventilated and constant-temperature environments to prevent moisture absorption and material deterioration. During road and sea transportation, the goods shall be kept away from high-temperature sources and humid environments. Manual and mechanical unloading operations need to be conducted gently to avoid package breakage and product leakage.
For safety compliance, ferric pyrophosphate must be stored and transported separately from all toxic substances to eliminate cross-contamination risks, complying with international industrial chemical storage and logistics safety standards.
